Rather than keep adding to the now massive and unwieldy "Leeds Lost Pubs" thread I'm putting these pics of the Skinner's Arms on a separate thread.

there are 10 types of people in the world. Those that understand ternary, those that don't and those that think this a joke about the binary system.

Of course the Skinners has been in the local news recently - for all the wrong reasons. Like the Hayfield, Gaiety and Fforde Grene before it the activities of drug-dealers has led to the police closing the premises down.

A sign extolling the delights inside.

And a rather different sign affixed to the front door advising of the pub's closure. It states that it is an offence to enter the premises before 26 February 2008.

A real shame that the lowlifes got their claws into this once great pub, I spent many a good night in here back in the late 70's to mid 80's when it was a predominantley Irish boozer. Let's hope it can one day return to being a hub of the community instead of a blight on it.

I loved the Skinners. Good pint of Tetleys which you could take to The Corner Cafe. Perfect night out

Worked there for a while in the late 1970s. Harry O’Connor was the landlord. He drove a very nice Mercedes.
