Not exactly a Leeds thing - but interesting ... nearest seems to be in Arthington. Does anyone have any information/ideas about these? http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/7022091.stm"Puzzled residents across Yorkshire are turning detective after mysterious stone heads were left outside their properties in the dead of night."

It was on GMTV about 6.15 this morning. No sign of the sculptor, but his agent gave a couple of sound bites.

they showed pics of the sculptor leaving one of them at a house at midnight, i liked it all but didnt really understand why they were making such a fuss, unless they were all in on it to publicise the sculptoror, of course, the overexcitement being on telly does to some folkand i used to live near that little oasis of prettiness, theres a little known fact to bore you all rigid!

I wonder if the sculptor's inspiration was the Celtic carved stone heads which are dug up from time to time?I remember reading about these years ago. They are common in the north of England, Yorkshire in particular.CheersSi
