Possibly miles off, but is it Red Hall in the background, placing the gun near the current Ring Road and it's junction with Wetherby Road?I seem to recall an old thread mentioning there were AA guns stationed out that way...

Across Soldiers field?http://goo.gl/maps/1arnThe big house being on Old Park Road?It would make sense having ack ack guns there with the Blackburn factory producing air craft nearby on Roundhay Road.
