My family have lived by the Abbey for generations and I can say with certainty there are many tunnels around that area.
A. Mole, Deepdown Villa, Kirstall, Leeds 4.

That made me :).

So all the rumours of a Kirkstall Abbey tunnel are just making a mountain out of a mole hill. ;)

I thought it was well known that the entrance is in the black bull pub cellar in town street , horsforth. Pretty sure it was mentioned during history of horsforth at school
