Now that Leeds Brewery have moved into the "Swans" next to the City Varieties it got me thinking as to why we always knew it as the Picaddilly Bar.And does anybody remember there was a red phone box inside the pub near the toilets. Or was that a trick of my memory due too many pints of Tetley Bitter at the time.

I think I'm correct in saying that in the late 50's the old bar had a makeover and was renamed The Piccadilly Bar and yes I can recall a red phone box in the pub. It had a bit of a seedy reputation back in those days, not the phonebox the pub.
Daft I call it - What's for tea Ma?
