Where is this 1882 date located?

Post by Leodian »

Where is this what seems to be 'A.D 1882' date marker located in Leeds? I took the photo on March 25 2015.

I have done a search of SL for 1882 but though that date appears in many threads as far as I could find out this particular date marker does not seem to have come up before in SL.

Hi rikj :). Yes.

I was going to post a cryptic clue here but I decided not to as what I thought I would post would likely have made it too obvious where it is (that is not cryptic).

Hiya j.c.d. :).

As far as I know the building it is on has nothing to do with St George's Crypt but I did initially wonder if your use of "Crypt" was a cryptic way of alluding to a cryptic clue that I did not get ;). My brain now hurts (that's not cryptic!).

Hello Pal, Yes that was my first (and last ) thought, anything more complicated seems to be beyond me these days. Good Luck and keep 'em guessing. Regards J.D.

Before this thread vanishes from page 1 I thought it was time to add another photo that may, or may not, help in finding the location. This photo was also taken on March 25 2015. The object sticking up from the top is the top of an ornate chimney. I don't know what the square object is but as it has wires I suspect it may be a security light (if it is working, which I don't know). It was not until I was reducing the file size of the photo that I noticed the cloud on the right looks a bit like a face (well it does to me ;).

PS. As far as I'm aware there is nothing cryptic in my post.

Hmm, I thought I knew this, but now I'm having doubts.:

Question; is the building currently used?
