Where are these non-drinkable water spouts?

Post by Leodian »

These two close together non-drinkable water spouts caught my eye today (January 26 2015). They are somewhere in Leeds, but where? If you know please answer cryptically.

I assume they are water spouts, though no water came out of either while I was there.

A rainbow is a ribbon that Nature puts on when she washes her hair.

Is this the end of the story ...or the beginning of a legend?

That made me :) buffaloskinner. Oh, and if it is a cryptic reply I don't understand it! :)

These photos show the lion spout in a wider view and a close-up, though probably of no help to those who don't know the location! ;)

Near a hotel, perhaps?
They do look familiar but, sadly, my recollection of Leeds's details fails me more than it ought.

Hi Barfly :).

The features are not at an hotel but there are hotels fairly close by. There's an underground by the features and I suspect that will improve the odds of getting their location. ;)

I thought it is time to give the answer. They are in 'The Bourse' courtyard off Boar Lane. Going in from Boar Lane there is a 'Subway' (my cryptic "underground") fast food branch on the left and a William Hill bookmakers (my cryptic "odds") on the right.

Ah, thank you, I was thinking of the right area -- I was about to ask whether the recent pictures you posted were a clue. :)
The hotel I was thinking of I don't recall the name of but it looks a grand affair and is set back off Boar Lane.
