The sign says 'Chelsea Grill' which I seem to recall was the eating place in the Griffin.

It was probably covered on another thread while I was away a couple of weeks back, but I noticed while passing on Friday that the bar previously known as Bar Censa has been gutted and at least the Mill Hill Corner part has been refurbished more in a pub style and would appear to be reopening as the Griffin.More here http://leeds-list.com/out-and-about/the ... leeds-bar/

While researching the above my search also through up this in a list https://www.flickr.com/photos/fawbs/8513237580/Which I think is the first photographic corroborationf on the thread of the Boots. Note I am in no way suggesting that I didn't believe the memories of posters who stated it had been a chemist.

Nice one tyke bhoy - especially as the "Night and Day Service" signage confirms my memories. I had forgotten Owen Robinsons and that branch of Thorntons, and have no momory at all of that Chinese restaurant to the extreme right of the picture.
