daft question - is this an easily publicly visible feature or is it one of those cunning brick bits on the hidden side of a stone building?? its just that the window detail looks familiar but not in brickwork. or am i just talking a right load of old facing bricks....

Could it possibly be in the old Church Army building that has been converted into apartments. It is on the town side of Crown Point Bridge?

No, Michael, but you're getting closer, geographically.

I'm gonna get in trouble one of these days, cause I don't know the full history of these buildings - just like the look of them as I walk past them! This one isn't on Marsh Lane, so I can safely say 'no'.
