Right - take your time over this one, & don't answer only part of the question...What is this architectural feature of Leeds, taken up close & out of context?Where is it?Who erected it, & what occasion was it erected to mark?If you would like to submit a photograph for the competition, please don't post it direct to the site. Ok dokey. I believe the out of context object to be a grade2 listed statue in Holbeck cemetry looking towards the engine shed that commerates Henry Rowland Marsden born 1823 & the lord mayor of Leeds from 1873-1874. a generous benefactor & inventer of a stone crusher! with 5 children who all died in 1865. If thats wrong then i'm throwing my rattle out of the pram!!!!!

I think this might be in Armley Cemetry on Green Lane... I can't find any info on it though, and my days of hanging around Armley are well and truly over! x

Oh dear this will please my mate M :-) The fountain object was erected by William Henry Gott of Armley house in 1897 to commerate Queen Vics diamond jubilee in Armley Gotts park. (It doesn't work anymore either)
