Noel Peyton (ex Leeds United player) has died aged 88.

Post by Leodian »

It has been reported that Noel Peyton died on December 26 2023. I remember watching him playing for Leeds United.
A memoriam to him in the Leeds United website states:-
Rest in peace.
Leeds United have been saddened to learn of the passing of former forward Noel Peyton, at the age of 88.
Joining from Shamrock Rovers, where he had won two League of Ireland titles and the FAI Cup twice, Peyton went on to make his Whites debut in a 2-0 victory over Bolton Wanderers in February 1958.
Peyton made a total of 117 appearances for Leeds, scoring 20 goals, over a five year period, playing alongside the likes of greats Don Revie, Bobby Collins and Billy Bremner.
He won six caps at international level for the Republic of Ireland and after his time at Elland Road, went on to have stints at York City and Barnstaple Town.
The thoughts of everyone at Leeds United are with Noel’s family and friends at this time.
