Telephones no longer there at Leeds Train Station.

Postby Leodian » Thu 12 Oct, 2017 8:57 pm

There has been a long while now a row of 6 telephones in Leeds Train Station near its entry/exit from City Square. I happened to notice on October 11 2017 that they were no longer there. I pass by occasionally but I had not noticed their disappearance before so I don't know when they were removed, so I wonder if anyone knows when or at least near when? Clearly with personal mobile phones there would seem to be little use of public pay phones nowadays.

The first photo is one I took of the telephones on December 28 2016. The second photo is one I took on October 11 2017 of where the telephones used to be. I also took the third photo on October 11 2017, which I have added for interest as it shows the nice entry/exit area to the station.
