I thought (hope ) these then and now photos may be of interest. They show a view looking up Stairfoot Lane towards Alwoodley from near Stairfoot Bridge. I took the first photo on April 3 2017. The second photo was taken in the early 1900s (not by me ) and will be seen using the link to that image and its information in the Leodis website. The views are remarkably still very similar.

I once attempted to drive home up that road after a few days of heavy snow. In the dark. When it became apparent I wasn't going to get over the hill I gingerly reversed back down, attempted to turn round on that little triangle of green you can see in the middle... and ended up stranded with my back wheels dangling in thin air over that little wall. Oops.
