END OF AN ERA

Post by Brunel »

Today was the final day for the blood and platelet donor centre, based at Seacroft Hospital.

Some of the staff are being re deployed, others are accepting redundancy.

The laboratories are remaining till.....?

Probably the complete site will be turned over to housing.

The main donor centre based in the Headrow is continuing as normal.

It's lucky you told me that! I was planning to go up there next week to donate, having missed my appointment last Friday with the blood donation "travelling show" at Rothwell due to a last minute holiday. I guess this means I have to fight my way into Leeds with all the hassle and expense that entails these days.
The older I get, the better I was.
