Is this the end of the story ...or the beginning of a legend?

My sentiments exactly Jack. I still feel a connection to my home town even though I left 40 years ago.
Merry Christmas everybody :D
It used to be said that the statue of the Black Prince had been placed in City Square , near the station, pointing South to tell all the southerners who've just got off the train to b****r off back down south!

Hi B. Prince,
Maybe people who have never lived elsewhere than Leeds for any lenth of time may find it hard to understand but i am the same, though i have lived in the West Counry for many years i still love coming back "Home". entering Leeds is, for me, just like slipping a warm overcoat on.
Compliments of the season to you and yours.

Last Christmas or maybe my Birthday my wife bought me "Leeds" in the Fifties, Sixties and Seventies. A wonderful book of over 200 Photos. Yorks Evening Post and published by The Breedon Books. Paperback Edition published in Gt. Britain by the Derby Books publishing Company, 3. The Parker Centre Derby DE21 4SZ '

This brought back so many memories and i would recommend it to any Loiners
I recall Ian enquiring about this as is does show various pictures of Bobbies and Police vehicles of their time.
