So is this still in the Merrion then? There does seem a lack of photos of it, and hardly anything in Leeds, If it has gone, then where is it?

Loved the secret location bit. As to the contraption it has not been in the Merrion Centre for a long while (probably several years now). If I recall right even the Christmas festive animated display was not there at least last Christmas. If they are no longer being displayed somewhere I hope they are at least safely stored away.

Thanks Leodian, we need to find out where it is and get it back I reckon! There are only two of them, the other being in the Mid-America Science Museum in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

the vacuum cleaner was on display in one of the unoccupied shops a couple of years ago. I presume the flying machine is in storage somewhere.

I seem to remember one of these Heath Robinson type mobiles being on display in Lewis's store in the early 50's.
