Hi there! Am recently new to Leeds and just found this forum. I'm keen to start meeting new friends in Leeds and expanding my social network as have left all my friends and family behind to start a new job here.I have come across this socialising site http://leeds.citysocialising.com and wanted to know if anyone here had been to any of their nights out?I have taken them up on their free membership offer but have yet to get involved as am a little nervous - having moved up from the South and a total newcomer to the north I'm a little nervous...I enjoy going to bars, restaurants, gigs, comedy nights, Sunday pub lunches and more - any tips on how best to integrate into life here and meet new friends in Leeds would be very much appreciated. Thanks!Sally

36 views and no replies? So much for we friendly northern lot! No, haven't heard of that site Sally but good luck with it. Have you heard of http://www.spiceuk.com/index.asp ? I've heard they have an active group in Leeds.

Welcome to the forum, Sally! Check through some of the posts on here, specially from Munksy and PhillD. I'm sure it were them who were talking about organising Secret Leeds historical walks around Leeds? (Tho that Phill will have you crawling thru disused tunnels! :-)People on here seem to be very friendly and it would be a good way to meet new friends. Be a start, anyroad.Good luck with your new life in god's own - I'm an expat of 30 years standing, but I still miss it.

Hey Scandy.. I'm very diverse. Equally at home in rigger boots trawling through mud in a tunnel or all dressed to the nines in smart blazer & strides as co representative for the L.G.E.S on our social nights! (Especially the new roscoe Sat night) :-) No i'm all up for any type of get together. Social booze or photo stuff/walks e.t.c.

Scandy is happiest in rigger boots, but little else, hence his hasty retreat from his beloved England. Just wait til the Danish authorities do a full check on him. He'll be deported as far North as is possible!! :-))))))So Phill, you meet up in the Roscoe most weekends then, or just select nights? Anyone invited or is it a closed meet?
