River Dolphin, Rothwell

Does anyone know why Rothwell Beck is known as The River Dolphin. I've wondered for years !

I think Carlton Beck and Rothwell Beck converge to make the River Dolphin which flows a coupl eof miles through Rothwell and Oulton then into the River Aire at Fleet Marina.14 bridges cross it in all.

Thanks Reginald. I had always imagined (hoped/wished) it was so named because once upon a time a dolphin had been seen !!! Silly childhood dreams.
