For many years i have noticed a strange man walking around Harehills. He is tall about 6 foot, normally carrying a bag & tatty looking. I normally see him on my way to work walking up Lupton Avenue. Also spotted him on Compton Road and around the Beckett Street Cemetery area. Anybody else seen this man?

I don't suppose he carries a load of old newspapers as well? There used to be a guy we called 'The Liverpool fan' He was tall & walked from Stanks-Gipton everyday. Dark hair, Scruffy 6' always wore a Scouse scarve & carried a big pile of papers. That was going back to my school days in the early 80's. I've seen him recently still doing it minus the papers!!!

Not sure what he caries in his bag? This guy looks to be in his mid 40's maybe early 50's. Got a prominent chin and looks to be chewing something, maybe its his papers?

The Guy your talking about gets the 5.15am 16 bus in to town every morning and he stinks to high heaven. Ginger haired, soap dodger supreme, striped shopping bag, goes in to phone boxes in town looking for money. I think we are talking the same guy here. He gets off at the same stop as me and I usually have to hold my breath. He is bad but not as bad as the guy who used to wander round up on Harehills lane looking like he had terminal piles he used to shuffle along and looked pretty rough. I was in the newsagent one day and the owner saw him out the window and rushed to lock the door saying "it takes me ages to get rid of the smell when he comes in here the reason he walks like that is because he has soiled himself. Both these guys are quite obviously incapable for what ever reason of taking care of themselves but thats care in the community for you.

Managed to get a quick pic of the guy. Not very good for a secret agent!
