Missed the Sweepstake this year. Lights are already up on Greek Street and Russel Street. I guess East Parade and Park Row will be adorned tomorrow

Given 5th November is Wednesday is the big switch on Thursday 6th?

The "skater lights" are up on Calverley Street before the LadyBoys arrive let alone the IceCube or Criskindelmarkt. Christmas lights also up on the Headrow at least from Oxford Row to Park Row.

As I don't live in Leeds anymore i don't know if there will be a German Xmas Market outside the Civic hall this year but it baffles me how traders can travel from Germany with their stock, pay all they travel expenses,Hotel bills ( not cheap around the City Center and yet still make a profit....... Do they get subsidised by the Council ?

Down here in Bristol we have "French Markets" at Xmas and certain times of the year. These Gallic Traders come over selling French Bread sticks and Cheese. I tapped one up and asked where he was staying and he replied "Jury's" that is over £100 a night .
So again i would be amazed how these Europeans can travel here and make a profit. I would also like to know how they get fresh bread over from France each day
