I thought it might be useful to have some entries here with hints and tips.Leeds Lass was having some bother uploading a photo 'cos she couldn't get it to the right size. Most digital cameras above 6 or so megapixels will generate an image of around 2-3 megabytes in high resolution, not web friendly. There are some useful free tools on the Microsoft site under 'Powertoys' that don't come as standard with XP.One of these is a picture resizer which will weave itself into Windows when you download it. Right-click on the image icon in your folder and 'Resize Pictures' will appear on the menu. Clicking on this will give you three options: Large, medium and small, one for each resolution. Which ever one you choose will drop a 3mb image down to about 70kb much quicker to upload.

I've re-sized my pics to really small images & they still don't upload. Some load at a good size & overs won't!!!!

I don't know what's going on with it... Whatever application I use, I shrink it until it looks the right size on screen, then it seems to upload. How technical is that?!?!? I can't even remember what application I am using!

I'm a pretty patent guy with most stuff. But i've given up with the size carry on. Can they be put to the right size when it's fixed? It spoils the continuity of keeping the thread going when folk can't see the image... I'm not having a moan-I think it's the best option for now maybe?

I think that that was actually happening for a couple of days. Then it seemed to go away again.I am going to upload a picture now. I like it. I am going to see if it works.

As far as I can see, whatever application I am working on, if you set it to 203 pixels wide or less, it will upload.Do I have an unfair advantage, here?
