Hi. First post, though I've read hundreds of links. Great effort. My question is about Bar Soba and The Pit. I was trying to figure out what the places on Merrion Street used to be. Manhatta was part of Mr. Craig's I know. As far as I can tell, there was Coconut Grove around 1984 but what did that become ultimately? There was Rio's, Ricky's, Heaven & Hell, Lizard Room, Venue, Sweeney Todd's, Sgt. Pepper (?), The Stone Roses Bar, The Pleasure Rooms and The Gallery down there at different times, but which clubs changed into which?

Cheers for any assistance.

[quote="Samson"]Does anyone remember the Take Five club???It was somewhere in the New Briggate area of Leeds, I went there in/around 1969/70. I seem to remember it was owned by the composer of the tune of the same name (although it could have been a rumour!)[/quote

It was actually on Vicar Lane, I think it was next to The ABC cinema.

Just seen Hernandos mentioned. After it closed my friend and I rented it from Mr Brash in mid 71 and started putting on Northern Soul nights on a Friday with regular all nighters on a Saturday, Strangely we got busted after a couple of months.

Surely the building "with the large amount of chimneys" would be on North Street ??
