Trumpet player is Dick Hawdon, who later became a professional musician. Amongst others he played in the bands of Terry Lightfoot and Johnny Dankworth. For many years he was Head of Brass Studies (I think that was the title of his post, but am open to correction) at Leeds College of Music.

Hi jim i dont know if you have been on the flickr secret leeds site if not there are some great photographs of jaz bands in leeds posted by jogon.
No matter were i end my days im an Hunslet lad with Hunslet ways.
