I ran Le Phonographe in The Merrion Centre and paedophile Savile ate in the Intime club but does anyone remember the name of the slightly posher one in central downtown please? This is before Pete Stringfellow came to town with Cinderella's.

There was only one club in that central downtown area so specificity was not needed. Forget the peripheral Cat's Whiskers and the teen place (also Savile) in the Corn Exchange we are on the area around the poshish department store ?? Schofields. Anyway late last night the brain produced it — Nouveau.

Does anyone remember the Lido nightclub on Albion Walk ? it was a Cabaret club plus Casino. was run by my old Boss and a couple of Jewish lads and things there were run on a chaotic system.. I remember at the time they were building a shopping centre( what is now the Trinity Centre) and the workers wearing masks were exhuming remains from an old graveyard . they were passing the remains over the Club and into sealed vans.
There was mention of the bodies being from a Plague, maybe someone can offer more details or is this the wrong place ?

Is this the end of the story ...or the beginning of a legend?

Where exactly was the Lido. I cannot be sure but I believe I had my 21st in there 1969. Did not frequent the place (cabaret bar not my scene) but had a good time that night
