Can anyone shed any light as to why there has never been a KFC in Leeds. It simply can't be coincidence as any town over about 50k population will have one and Leeds "never" has. Someone could make an absolute killing.

The Headingley Arndale centre K.F.C has been there since the 1970's.I have a picture of an original advertisement for it on one of Leeds old back loader buses it's carried for over 30 years. The pic is herehttp://www.flickr.com/photos/phill_dvsn/116101 ... 755235/You can see how old that advert is as the phone number starts with a 5 and is only 5 digits long.Coincidentally that Headingley K.F.C was where Peter Sutcliffe was waiting for a meal when he spotted Jacqueline Hill getting off the bus, We all know what happened next unfortunately.

Yes I meant the City Centre. Leeds must be unique. Halifax has one on two floors with lots of seating, Ponte has one, Cross Gates, many M'Way service stations and there's even one in Magaluf. Surely one in Leeds would make a fortune. We can sustain 3 large McDonald's it seems and about 25 Subways.
