The part I put about remembering rationing, reminded me of Alan Bennet's "A Private Function" where they are queueing in the butcher's shop. I can remember having to do that with my mam when I was little. For anyone around my age or older "A Private Function" is well worth watching - after all nostalgia isn't what it used to be

I often think about Jack Daly @ Volvo Jack @ JCD, he must be well into his eighties. I noticed that he hasn't posted anything for a long time and wondered how he was. Does anyone know if he is okay, or otherwise?
