The Fellmonger at Seacroft has been closed for a while, however according to the YEP it has been sold for redevelopment as housing. So, that is the end of another pub.

I used to go there for a pasty when I went to Foxwood, and play football right outside it across North Parkway when I was a kid.

This is not concerning a Leeds pub, but I am sure that many on the forum will agree that the miss-type in the following planning application (page 18 of http://documents.reading.gov.uk/AnitePu ... 284240.pdf ) to turn a historic pub into a "more commercial" profit-making building is probably amazingly accurate:The Granby is vacant, precisely because it was unsuccessful financially and it was not possible to finds a public house operator prepared to buy the property and ruin it as a public house, despite extensive marketing for a prolonged period. Thus the applicants are uncertain that it was viable as a public house;
