It's a long time since I have been home to Leeds. Live and work overseas these days.My favourite haunts were the Deer Park and the pub at the Mansion in the park. I read with dismay that another of my stomping grounds, the Chained Bull has gone. And what of the Jester? I suspect that may have gone also.Happy days undereage drinking in the 80's and if you were lucky sneaking into the Continental Casino (well classy) at Moortown Corner for free sandwiches and Sky TV (when it really was a novelty). Is the Casino still there?

The Jester is still there but has been called the 'Lord Darcy' for several years.
there are 10 types of people in the world. Those that understand ternary, those that don't and those that think this a joke about the binary system.

the white House is still there. It is now a Chef and Brewer place and more of a restaurant than just a pub. I also used to frequent the Mansion, especially on a Sunday lunchtime with my cousin and his wife and a few other notable glass-artists. We would then retire to the Gipton (now called the Roundhay) which I seem to remember was BYB house. Happy days.

We spent many hours in the Gipton on Roundhay Road, and the tap room next door - often after work with the staff from Safeway. I think it's the Roundhay now, but I'm sure it was the Gipton originally.
