hi Linieonly one green man that i know of in that area..was on dewsbury rd..opposite the old cockburn high school....demolished in the 60s i believe...was lots of land at the back..could well be the one you mean..cheers

Yes think thats the one, but cant find any reference to any race track. Perhaps all the spare land was used by locals for recreation.

LinieHave checked further with a friend...he used to go in the green man...many years ago..yes...the land at the back..which was fields..then allotments i think..now a school..was used for some form of racing......sunday mornings he said..hope it satisfies your curiositycheers
