The supermarket formerly The Dog and Gun appears to have closed.
Shutters on windows/doors down for over a week.
Bad choice of location or ! a victim of the cycle path road works ?
Cones/closed nearside lane with very little sign of activity for weeks.
The hidden costs of this stupid scheme must be horrendous.

Used to go in odd times as a pal of mine lived nearby. this was before the Lincoln Green centre was built and it was a comfortable family pub with lots of competition around from the other pubs around , Granville , Plasterers and good ale houses in Mabgate but in later years it was a bit of a Dump. Not good to see another one bite the dust.

Guess it has gone the way of many other Pubs / Clubs, lack of trade. this is what happened to this property some years ago when it was the Foresters Club, when they put it up for sale Noel Squires who was the landlord of the Roscoe up Chapeltown Road bought it as his pub was being demolished. Some years later at thhe time it was very successful as the New Roscoe and Noel turned down a good offer from a devlopment company to build a Hotel on te site.
