The pub in the photograph was on the south side of Leeds Bradford Road, overlooking Bramley Fall Woods, which I understand is where the old oak tree once stood. My parents often took me to visit an old aunt who lived on St Catherines Drive behind the pub. To relieve the boredom, by brother and I used to go to the pub car park and watch aircraft flying into Yeadon , as it was then called.
