Came across the following link https://www.britishpathe.com/thumbnails.php?id=2349A woman coaching Rugby League in the 1960s, been tackled by the boys and then packing down at hooker ......... nice to see that sexual liberation hadn't begun in San Fransisco in 1966 but in darkest Hunslet in 1963 (check out the background to the pitch ....... terraces, smoking chimneys, workshops!)Hats off hats off to billy the buffalo for reminding me of the joys of the British Pathe resource http://www.secretleeds.com/forum/Messag ... readID=772 (last time I was there was settling an arguement between my ma and pa that Prince Philip did visit Yorkshire Main Colliery in the 50's) ........ a message I may repeat a few times this eveningPreviews of the newsreel clips can be downloaded for free (depending on the age, the quality varies between blurry to pretty good).
