Cloud Cuckoo Land springs to mind ............................
Is this the end of the story ...or the beginning of a legend?

Whoever it is has put a lot of time and effort BUT - how much of it
will ever see light of day ? Zilch comes to mind.

The latest money wasting huge undertaking by the barmy Government is almot impossible to believe. To improve the Leeds - Manchester train service by upgrading it to "HS3." There are already five trains per hour reaching Manchester in around an hour or less - who, for Pity's sake, needs to get there any quicker ?? A far better solution, at a very tiny fraction of the cost, is obviously to put one or two extra carriages on the trains, so that at least you could travel without standing like packed sardines. :x :x

PS - It gets even dafter in this morning's news - Bradford now want HS3 trains to Manchester and unless I'm mistaken that would involve a change of trains as Bradford surely isn't on the Trans Pennine train route is it ?? :? :?
There's nothing like keeping the past alive - it makes us relieved to reflect that any bad times have gone, and happy to relive all the joyful and fascinating experiences of our own and other folks' earlier days.
