I was pleased to see this old Leeds Central sign had survived the demolition men. A great day was had & many thanks to Andy & all the volunteers down there for there great hospitality shown! Cheers!

Unfortunately i didn't find out about this visit untill Thursday so i couldn't get anything sorted for any secret Leedsers interested, but if anyone has any places they'd like to visit then please let me know & i'll see if i can charm our way in!!

Yeah i was suprised it was there. from a distance it looked like it was made out of cloth untill closer inspection showed it was the real thing. I've seen it on pics. I'll try find out where the signs were placed. We made inquiries into the city center pub with the secret air raid shelters when we were having a pint afterwards! Were slowly convincing the landlady to let us have a look but thats another story altogether!

Great work phill,as ever.Nice bit of film on you tube,it looked like adisused line with grass growing out of it until the engine appears!I've been using the KWVR for my steam train jollies until now.

Cheers Ste. Funny you mentioned the K.W.V.R i was thinking of asking them for a tour, A few other places in Leeds too! One with lots of BEER in :-))

mmm.yes it is! Although in my experience beer & expensive thngs i own like a camera don't mix! Never see em again! :-/
