I work at the airport and my office overlooks the runway. Last week sometime a small-ish twin prop plane landed that had no airline markings and was completely grey, there were what looked like military tail numbers on it in black but not the normal 'G-OFRP' type registration numbers. It departed the following morning.I wonder if it was some poor soul on an 'extraordinary rendition' flight with the CIA or something?

The C-12 Huron transport personnel to RAF Menwith Hill. So it was probably one of these you saw. http://www.airteamimages.com/beechcraft ... 70644.html

It wasn't one of those, it was much darker grey as you could only just make out the tail markings and a bit bigger too I think. Now that I think of it it did have a something on the tail that looked a bit like the South African flag with a sideways yellow y shape?

No not that either, it was the same layout as the first one with low set wings but darker and a bit bigger. It didn't have the tail in a T shape or the pods on the wing tips either.

Nah it was more like the first but sightly different.I've had a look and it could have been an RAF version of the Beechcraft Super King called the Shadow R1.
