I've found this excellent overlay application that maps out all the disused railways on top of google earth. There's so much detail on there. Long since gone stations and junctions marked out perfectly. There's many other features, pre beeching, early routes e.t.c.The site is here and well worth taking a look at.(You need the blue 'view in Google earth' icon)http://bbs.keyhole.com/ubb/showthreaded ... page/0I've also started a disused West Yorkshire railway tunnel location and history group herehttp://www.flickr.com/groups/westyorkstunnelportals/

I do know the site is an ongoing project so there will be things still to add. The large amount of stuff that is there is fantastic in detail.

Bloomin eck!! there's always something isn't there? it's done it to me as well edgey. Try loading the file from the page, If it freezes again start Google earth up first then try load the file.I wonder if it's just a big file freezing your p.c as it loads? Try clean your computer registry, old files and generally free up a bit of space on your hard drive maybe? This is the file you need.http://bbs.keyhole.com/ubb/download.php ... =1058469It takes a while to load up!

This is a snap shot of what you should get Edgey.http://www.flickr.com/photos/phill_dvsn/3154063686/All the routes are in different railway group colours. It's good to see how the lines ran while looking at all the housing and industy that stands on them today.
