On this day (27th August) in 1900, Britain's first long distance bus service began between London and Leeds. The journey took 2 days!I found this on one of those "on this day" websites - does anyone know anything else about this pioneering service?

Yes ,the driver was a Doncaster depot NXEC/GNER train driver.They dont get out much you know!!
