Thanks for the info Sundowner. I knew that the brewery didn''t brew any more, but not what it was, or even whether it had been completely pulled down. Although I have visited very briefly since, my last long visit would gave been about 1992 or so, and i haven't lived there permanently since 1978.

Hi chemimike I must say they have made a good job of the refurb it was all sandblasted and looks the part its nice to see the old place still standing and looking better than some of the modern stuff they are putting up in the city center.Of course it was built to last thats more than i can say for the buildings going up now.
