Interesting link in dervish's St Mary's in the Wood tale to nowthen.org which I hadn't heard of before. It's a sort of memories archive for groups provided by WYAS. It's currently mainly Bradford-centric but there are contributions from various other groups with memories of Leeds Utd and Leeds RL etc.

I know this sounds hard to believe but theres a 1692 grave in leeds parish church ground to far right near back wall saw it last week

It would be good to put names on the site when finding old graves, it might show up in a google search for people tracing family history. Years would be good too ie 1789 - 1822

yeah its certainly the oldest non interred grave ive seen but it strangely outdates the other graves ay a fair few years. Ill get that name today as I work next to the church
