Interesting link in dervish's St Mary's in the Wood tale to nowthen.org which I hadn't heard of before. It's a sort of memories archive for groups provided by WYAS.
It's currently mainly Bradford-centric but there are contributions from various other groups with memories of Leeds Utd and Leeds RL etc.

Hi polo if you go inside the church on thr right side near the alter there is a grave stone to someone called Hardwike date 1670 it states that it was removed from behind the alter of the old church and was moved when the new church was built.
No matter were i end my days im an Hunslet lad with Hunslet ways.
