A few of us used start off in the Regent and end up in the Nags Head (or vice versa). Those were the days !! PC We used to do Fridays also. I favoured the Nags over Regent twofold:1. Regent was Tetleys2. Sams was good (tho' variable, I'll concede) and cheap.and so despite intentions would start in the Nags - and then stay in the Nags.Long walk home but Gledhow Ln = 'Lil Switzerland seemed ok with handy bench midway up

That's my fave bench of all time Jogon. A lovely spot, although your overcast winter day photo doesn't quite do the location justice. I used to finish my post round on Brackenwood Close just the other side of the woods for nearly 10 years. I'd ride the post bike through the woods and stop at that bench for my pint of milk and a smoke! That was only on a Saturday morning though, the only day we had one delivery job and off! I'd zip round and be done real early doors then, I never quite finished as early when we had to go back for more sorting in the office and a 2nd delivery midweek though lol :-)
