Ah, in the grounds of the mill. The one next to the prison isa bit of a non starter as far as getting in would be concerned. Any entrance has been well and truly coved, it would take major excavation work to do so. However, it did partially collaps a few years ago and had to have massive amounts of sand etc poured in to block it off again.

Good set of pics here too:http://www.chris5156.com/photo/cgi-bin/ ... ld-01Where is it out of interest. Not an expert on Manchester but I understand it's central.
Ravioli, ravioli followed by ravioli. I happen to like ravioli.

It's right next to Piccadilly Reggie. The first pic on the story shows where it is pretty well. http://blogs.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuse ... 841There's also a Google aerial image as well.

Oh I can view it at home but the kids seem to take all my time up. I can get into flickr but the pictures don't show. It's weird I know.

I'll plug one of my most favourite all time explores here as well.Unfortunately it's in Manchester. But it's a great place. It's my ghost railway station unused by passengers since 1960.It's all there to this day, hid away and forgotten about in the middle of Manchester city centre.I loved this place!http://blogs.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuse ... =497370934     I enjoyed the Woodhouse Moor Shelter and MCR station pics Phil.On another thread {Burtons} there is a mention of the wide access stairways to the air raid shelters at Burtons Hudson Road factory still being visible. With a workforce of 10,000 those shelters must have been considerable. I wonder if they still exist? There is a mention that when Burtons closed, the underground shelters were filled with old sewing machines and the like, and closed off. Worth a look?
It used to be said that the statue of the Black Prince had been placed in City Square , near the station, pointing South to tell all the southerners who've just got off the train to b****r off back down south!
