I noticed this for the first time while walking into Leeds this morning.It's on Canal Road (Armley side).Anyone know anything about it?

If its a warning (of hidden danger) then I don't think its very good as even the slightest disturbance to the water would probably make it unreadable.

It looks like the sign is in upside-down mirror-writing and only becomes instantly recognisable in a reflection (Am I right in thinking this?)If that is the case I suspect it may be some type of art - I like it !
