This was posted by a lady from Gloucestershire to Leeds Nostalgia & History group on Facebook. The lady found it in her late fathers possessions & wondered what it relates to ??

The Association of Leeds & District Rifle and Revolver Clubs was registered in 1973 and was removed from the register of charities in 1995:
http://apps.charitycommission.gov.uk/Sh ... ryNumber=0. I guess the Aireborough Rifle and Revolver Club (http://www.aireborough.org.uk/) would probably know more about them.

It looks a bit like the RAF logo....?????could there be a leeds area of that?

RAF insignia are blue outer circle then white with a red inner circle

Though I oersonally don't know what this medal is for it has been great looking up badges and medals concerning Leeds on my Laptop. maybe its 1950s onwards as most of the old medals I remember seeing were more ornate than that one.

A for Amatuer or Amalgamated xxx rather than Association?

Or possibly Leeds Rotary Club?

Looking at the image it's more likely to be a watch fob than a badge, given the ring at the top, which probably means it's at least pre-Second World War, if not earlier.

It would be interesting to see if there's a silver mark on the back, as this would give an exact date.
