Buffalo & SiWhere do you get these map images? Do you subscribe to a provider or are they just on web.There are reservoirs and "Tenters".

Hi Jogon. I have hard copies (previously known as paper maps,) and scan the appropriate bit.I bought mine mainly on-line, but they are available in the shops.They are old OS maps, published by Alan Godfrey.They have a site: www.alangodfreymaps.co.ukOn the back, there is usually a potted history of the area, and a street-by-street trade listing.PS Tenter fields were where finished cloth was spread out to dry, suspended above the ground by tenter-hooks, hence the well-known phrase. I guess the word tent comes from the same root.

Nothing on LEODIS which particularly specifies Government Street. But there are these aerial photographs which, although similar to Jogon's, seem to bring the area into sharper focus. Two of them are the same. The final one is very good. http://www.leodis.net/display.aspx?reso ... SPLAY=FULL

He had an argument with the landlord Harry Marks in the mid 60's and never went back in the place!
