Hello everybody Here are a few pics of the Bentleys Brewery site I took in late 1987 when it looked like the whole site was to be demolished.I seem to recall that the site was already modernised and that following the ending of brewing, apart from the front offices the site consisted of modern low rise buildings in line with its new role as a distribution depot. I could of course be wrong,it was 20 plus years ago.

Thanks for those, Spud
there are 10 types of people in the world. Those that understand ternary, those that don't and those that think this a joke about the binary system.

Beer rations from two sources.     I seem to remember that Whitbread brewed at their Sheffield brewery into the 80's. I'm not sure who its former owners were, but it's jsut off the Wicker. I wonder if what they sold in and around Leeds came from there or Salmesbury?Another BYB pub in the Morley area was "The British Oak" on Westerton Road. This pub had quite a major refurbishment in the early sixties. I used to go there for a pint of bitter shandy and a pasty after rugby training. Long time ago The Sheffield Brewery was Tennant Bros Ltdhttp://www.breweryhistory.com/Defunct/YorksSouth.htm

Here's a BYB mirror in the York Castle Museum. I don't know where it was from originally though.
