A Tetley's pub called The Belle Vue?

Right peeps, I've had a reply from the owners of the store and they say ... ... ... ... Thanks for your inquiry about Goats on the Roof and the outdoor Sign… I wish I could help but the sign came from a friend of mine who is now passed on. He did come to America from the UK. I have had it for about 15 years, can’t tell you how old. It is, but it is old.....and that get's us not very much closer.

At least we can assume that it did come from the UK, and wasn't knocked up by someone over there.Also, that design is much older than 15 years. There's one on the back of the Black Bull in Otley.

Definitely, I would have said 50s or 60s. What about the Belle Vue police garage near the Uni, it must have got its name from somewhere, is it possible there was a pub in that area before the flats/houses went up ?
