Has anyone else noticed the 'GOURANGA' stickers across bridges on there travels?
There is one in Leeds opposite were Readmans used to be.
Anyway i never knew what it was all about till the other day.

They date back to at least the mid-late 90s and were related to the rave scene as well as Buddhism. There is or was a big graffiti of it on a bridge across the M1 near Luton that was certainly there in about 1996. I can remember the stickers blossoming in Doncaster when the town briefly had a major party venue.

Not as common now as it used to be.
One theory I heard was that it was a word that you could not pronouce without smiling!!!!!!!!!!!!
