Bored at work, I thought I'd try and find out a bit more about the police memorial opposite the parish church.Spookily enough, it is 24 years to the day since Sgt John Speed was shot and killed.Condolences to those he left behind, may he rest in peace.

That explains why I saw a white wreath propped up against the Police station this morning then on my way to the studio.
