Look at any leodis picture of the industrial areas of Leeds and you will see a forest of factory chimneys.Many of these remained standing long after they became obsolete but if you look round now there aren't many left.I've taken some pictures of what has become an endangered species.

The famous Kirkstall Brewery chimney.It isn't leaning,that was the wind!

I've no idea what this building used to be but it's situated at the side of Houghley Ridge,Bramley.

Not sure what it's called now but it was once a canalside mill just west of Wellington Road.

I always wondered how there were always lots of half built hotels in Mediterrranian resorts.
We wanted to make Leeds a better place for the future - but we're losing it. The tide is going out beneath our feet.
